What does Certified Organic mean for you?

TheWellnessShop.ie

We often mention that we are "certified organic", but what does it really mean?

First, we should start with what we believe in. At The Wellness Shop, we understand the importance of the organic mindset. The organic food and farming movement has lately been portrayed as a food system of its own right, since it contains all necessary subsystems, consisting of food environments, distribution networks, processing, as well as production and supply, all of which are bounded by an organic guarantee system (Kretschmer, et al.). We agree with this observation and believe that it is more than a movement, it is a way of life. Secondly, the products we stock are natural, organic and many of these products are also vegan and vegetarian friendly. The products we offer reinforces and highlights our commitment to sustainable and organic life.

In addition to all of this, our deli is Sligo's only Certified Organic deli. This means that our deli is accredited by the Irish Organic Association. This accreditation from the Irish IOA requires a commitment to standards that we are very proud to consistently meet and maintain.  The IOA must approve of all actions that go into the making of our delicious food. This includes everything from the growing of ingredients that we use to the way in which we dispose of our waste. Being certified organic means that you can be guaranteed that the food you are eating is sustainably produced, 100% organic and natural. How cool is that? Very (if you ask us)

We pride ourselves, not only on our ability to provide Sligo with the freshest and tastiest organic deli but our ability to exceed customer expectations with a wide range of tasty food options, available 7-days a week.

If you live nearby or are just passing through, call in, see us and try our delicious organic deli. If you can't make it, but you still want to shop local whole foods, natural vitamins & supplements or sustainable skincare, you can shop online here at TheWellnessShop.ie
